I also have body dismorphia. I went from a size 22 to a size 10 (yesterday). I’ve lost~ 100 pounds slowly over 2 years, buying new clothes along the way. I pulled out my size 22 pants for the first time the other day and I was so surprised. I don’t feel that much different. They look so big and I never felt that big- yet at times I did feel that big , and still like you I was surprised when I’d see pictures of myself. Now it’s the opposite- I do and don’t feel that little.

Do check out if there is a low cost women’s cliic in your town or a neighboring one. If there is one get a full physical and talk to an obgyn about this intense incident, if there isn’t do this as soon as you get insurance.

I have told my husband the same thing about my body…I was not disgusted, or felt like I would just die if I could not have surgery to get skinny…It was just something I wanted to do to feel more comfortable, and to be healthier. So, I had surgery, and just kind of feel like, what comes will come, and it’ll be great.

Good for you for the cutback on the junk..amazing what we don’t crave once we cut it out. I am in awe of your 65 pounds since surgery… it motivates me to get there myself. That Janie’s a smart woman, isn’t she? ;) lol @ you wearing the size 16 when you’re a 10. Wow, that was a freaky episode you had yesterday. I think you’d be best off discussing it with your doc. Take good care!!
