Acid Reflux also called is gastroesophageal reflux. GERD is a chronic circumstance. GERD affects almost one third of the grownup population of the United States to some level at least formerly a month. Most children under 12 years with GERD, and some adults, have GERD without heartburn. Gastroesophageal reflux disease occurs when the amount of gastric juice that refluxes into the esophagus exceeds the normal limit, causing symptoms with or without associated esophageal mucosal injury. Symptom of GERD in adults is regular heartburn, too called acidic indigestion burning-type pain in the lower region of the mid-chest.

There are many cause of gastroesophageal reflux. Anatomical abnormalities such as a hiatal hernia may also contribute to GERD. Eating large meals, eating soon before bedtime cause of acid reflux. Some other factors that can make heartburn suxch as, certain foods, such as fatty foods, spicy foods, chocolate, caffeine, onions, tomato sauce, carbonated beverages and mint. Heartburn is a common problem in the United States and in the Western world. Approximately 7% of the population experience symptoms of heartburn daily. GERD occurs in all age groups.

Treatment is a stepwise approach. The goals are to control symptoms, to heal esophagitis, and to prevent recurrent esophagitis or other complications. The treatment is based on lifestyle modification and control of gastric acid secretion. Drink small amounts of chilled fat free milk or water after every one or two hours. This will make the burning sensation mild. Drink jeera (cumin) water rather than plain water, it avoids formation of gas in stomach. Take ginger root extract with honey after meal.

Drink jeera (cumin) water quite than simple water, it avoids establishment of gasoline in abdomen. Take ginger origin distill with honey after meal. If you see heartburn so get a cup of vanilla ice ointment to alleviate yourself from the symptom. Lemons, almonds and cloves are too efficient for eye blow. Vegetables are significant overly. They too offer a plenty of acid neutralizing alkaloids that your system needs to pay for higher acidic levels. For a strong cure, fruit and fruit juice can offer, naturally, what the system needs to pay for what is typically a too acid diet.

Today obesity and its related diseases are spreading like wild fire. Gastric bypass surgery or Bariatric surgery has become a solution for this hard-core problem. It is operated to treat morbid obesity. This operation removes the excess weight from the body. Obesity is the root of many severe life-shortening diseases. The operation is a great relief for those people who are suffering from obesity. Many people perform various types of physical exercises, also do dieting to lose weight, but it hardly affects them, and at last, they need to undergo the surgery. The operation is performed in some major hospitals in India. With its upcoming, the patient need not have to panic on the issue.

Obesity is a growing epidemic around the world. They operate it on those people who fail to reduce weight. An obese person suffers from hypertension, insomnia, gallbladder disease, liver disease, degenerative disc disease, heart disease, infertility, arthritis in weight bearing joints and gastroesophageal reflux disease. A gastric bypass surgery first divides the stomach into a small upper pouch and a much larger, lower “remnant” pouch and then re-arranges the small intestine to allow both pouches to stay connected to it. Gastric bypass surgery comes in many forms. Of these, laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery is more effective. The benefit of this surgery is smaller scars, lower risk of hernias, and faster recovery compared to traditional large incision gastric bypass surgery.

Drs. Mason and Ito originally pioneered bariatric surgery in the 1960′s. From then, the surgery had undergone various changes. Today, gastric bypass with roux-en-y is the most commonly performed weight loss procedure and approximately 65% effective in losing target weight. Records show that those patients who had undergone the surgery fail to survive long. It is seen that the major cause of death in the weight loss patients is heart failure. The patient also suffers from depression. The change in their food habit is the major cause of depression. They face difficulty in climbing stairs or lifting heavy objects, and increased fatigue following simple physical tasks. In the past, serious obesity was interpreted to mean weighing at least 100 pounds (45 kg) more than the “ideal body weightâ?. This criterion failed for persons of short stature.

A gastric bypass patient needs to be very careful about their diet. They require consulting a registered dietician always. If a proper diet is strictly followed, it would be very helpful for the patient. A person is not permitted to eat everything directly after the operation. There are numerous restrictions that the patients need to follow to recover soon. Liquid foods like juice, milk, cooked cereal should be taken and soft foods like fresh fruits, cooked vegetables are most preferable. They can also intake-pureed food. In an obese person the doctor need to operate complications like anastomotic leakage, anastomotic stricture, dumping syndrome etc. Today, an obese person can lead a normal life like others if he or she undergoes the gastric bypass surgery.

I am genuinely regarding Gastric bypass I simply have some problems. First of all, I suppose its better to allow you know I am 6ft and 335lbs. male and I am 20yrs. previous likewise I dwell in N.J.. I cognize this is seriously heavy and morbidly obese. I am a total time student I besides work entire time. I am nonetheless covered under my dads insurance (cigna) which I infer has some type of gastric bypass coverage(not wholly certain). What am assaying to find away is how to say my parents that I desire to get this done I am afraid of it being shot downwards and dismissed as simply a fad or phase. I already got 1 rearward surgery under my belt, and my backward is merely gonna get worse if I remain at this weight, my health can merely get worse. Besides that how much is it gonna cost (with and without insurance). What are the after cost? I cognize there are many dissimilar procedures which one would be better for me? What major life changes will I have to do after the surgery? um….. If you can conceive of something else I should know plz commentthx

Answer by Flowers
Wow, that’s a lot of questions. I belong to a Yahoo regrouped called Weight Loss Surgery Friendship & Support. We have a lot of members who like to write and share their experiences. You may want to join, as even after the surgery you will do better if you have a support group. But, talking to your parents may be hard, but if you are miserable, your life is firmly also. Tell them the advantages and how your life will be more worth dwell. Tell them that your blood pressure will drop, your back will feel better, your stamina will increase, your chances of finding a mate can increase, and the chances of developing a miriad of illnesses will decrease.I had the surgery 8 months ago. It has made a selfsame noticeable change in my health. It is not easy…you will need to take vitamins and minerals, extra protein, extra fluids, you will need to exercise, you will have to be in a doctor’s care to make sure your blood tests are normal. It is hard work, and you tin fail. The cost depends on the part of the country you will have the surgery. I have heard as low as $ 16,000 and as high as $ 40,000. I have insurance, but with deductibles and such, I ended up paying nearly $ 4000 out of pocket. One of the reasons for that is the psychological tests, the nutrition counselling and a sophisticated supervised burthening monitoring for 6 months prior to the surgery. Now, one thing you should know, this surgery is not right for everyone. It is a lifetime change. You should persue trying to lose weight through diet and exercise before you attempt this surgery. I liked Atkins, because I am a protein eater. I also thought Weight Watchers was pretty good and it has been scientifically proven to be the best. But you must include exercise and a positive attitude. Try this surgery only as the last resort due to the malabsorption issues.BTW, don’t go with the lapband. I know many people who had that and they have either NOW had the gastric bypass surgery OR they have gained all their weight back. It is selfsame easy to cheat and to learn how to get around the restrictions the band causes.Good luck in whatever you determine. Please join our group. You tin ask a million questions and everyone will be glad to help.
