Please help with this stomach condition – need to travel soon?

Ok.
For the past 3-4 days, I’ve been having a lot of acidity (after eating a meal, at night especially, i’ve felt way too full ) Also, I haveb een belching quite a bit.
Today I went to the clinic, and was given omeprazole to take 1x daily and was told to take panadol for my slight fever (its about 37.4) Doctor told me it seemed like an infection fo some kind either cold and flu or gastric that was causing the infection.
I’m supposed to travel in 3 days to go home- do you reckon this will be ok if i contiue the treatment and keep eating the right food (bland stuff)?
thanks ‘someones mum’
i did buy some activia (danone). as know that it has good bacteria. but the doc said to stay away from dairy, should i have it in a day or something?

Could be the friendly bacteria in the stomach is off balance for some reason (acid). I would have to try some acidophilus to get the bacteria straightened out. Maybe you ate something wherever it is that you are that was different than you are used to. The lactobacillis (acidophilus)will replace necessary digestive bacteria in about 3 days. Even yogurt contains lactobacillis. If the prilosec works for you, great. Zantac (ranatadine) 150mg is just a miracle for reflux.

Do drink lots of good water as opposed to sodas to keep your temp down and flush the culprit. Also, observe the way that you chew and swallow. Are you swallowing a lot of air while you are eating? (belching after a meal, and full feeling). You should be just fine….no worries for safe trip home

It sounds like you’re on the right track, but you should bring along some Immodium A-D in case you get hit with a bout of diareah .
