Ok so here is the deal, I have a right indirect inguinal hernia and as of 4 days ago I started having intense lower gastric pain when getting up from a standing position and or a laying down position. It is also hard to turn over in bed because when I do it feels like everything in my lower abdomen is (lower stomach) feels like it is twisting into a massive knot.
Is this associated with the hernia or is this something completely different? My Doctor is unavailable to speak with (as of right now, he is in a surgery) and non of the other doctors are available to take my call so I turned to the fine people that are on here.
Can someone help? I really do not want to go the "Urgent Care" or ER route, here where I live it takes a fort night to get in to see the doctor and when they get to you they do not seem to care. I know they are busy but they could give you the time of day and the help you need minus just handing you pain pills and sending you home.
Again I ask is there anyone that has gone through this? and is this something I need to be concerned about?
Please Help!
Thank you
side note, I also have lose and or runny stools, on top of that I am stomach is queasy, and I have a bad head ache.
like the gays.
This could be related to the hernia. Find the hernia on yourself – is it tender? If the skin overlying it is red or hard, or the hernia is tense – this needs urgent attention, and you will not be passed off with pain pills. If the hernia is a bit tender, but the skin is normal, and it is not tense and very painful, then you can try to push the hernia back into your abdomen. If this is painful or difficult, you should get medical help, because your bowel could become stuck or have its blood supply cut off.
If your hernia is causing you pain, there are safe simple operations you can have to fix it. If you were in the UK, this would be free, I know things are different in the US, but it could be worth paying for, instead of risking a damaged bowel.
Good luck.
It sounds like something is obstructing your bowel since you have said that you have a queasy stomach and loose, runny stools – this could be related to the hernia but you could also have other diseases such as diverticulitis, chrons, obstructing tumor
