Does anyone have any success stories or if you or someone you know failed what did they do that I shouldn’t? I’ve read almost everything I can find on it and I’m looking for some personal stories now.

Lots of advice, success stories, dos and don’ts!
I will be having the Gastric Bypass surgery this fall, so I have attended a lot of classes at the Bariatric center here in Greenville, SC.
If you have a bad weight problem and fear that your eating habits will return, it would be best to have the bypass instead of the band. The band will slide as you eat enough to expand the ‘pouch’ area. The band also has to be re-tightened every year, sometimes even within months. Most people that have the lap band eventually gain their weight back. The lap band does not have a high success rate. With the bypass, there are no adjustments and you cannot stretch the pouch.
