I don't know how to write an e-invitation, but I do want to tell you that my husband had the surgery and is doing just great. Lost 160 lbs. and quite pleased with his surgery. He has had no trouble with any of the things they warned him about before his surgery that "could happen." None of them did and he couldn't be more pleased. His health has improved tremendously and he is just so active now it's hard to get him to stop. Wish you the best with your pending surgery. I'm sure you are going to be fine. Think positive.

Personally, I would be put off a little by having to write a letter of encouragement. And guess what - I bet you will feel so good after surgery you won't even read them! I had this surgery about 8 years ago and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Have the party but make it something like July 27th - your new "birthday" (Trust me, your life will change after this surgery!) So, you could go with a birthday party theme. Maybe people could get you different size tee shirts, so as you shrink, you can take your picture in the shirts as you get smaller. (How cool to send someone a picture of you in a size medium tee shirt - can you imagine them saying "I would never have guessed that would ever fit her! And look, she looks fabulous in it!")
