Talk to your family doctor and have him run some tests. It might be a thyroid problem or other medical condition as well that is preventing weightloss.

It would also be helpful to keep a food diary where you write down every single thing you eat or drink in a day. A nutritional counsellor can review it and identify how you are getting in hidden calories and make suggestions to help improve your health and loose weight.

I also highly recommend a qualified personal trainer. They will help establish a workout plan that makes the most sense for you and will help you reach your goals. They will also help to motivate you and keep you going.
I did this and lost a lot and really toned up. The key is to find someone you are comfortable with and you trust.

Also it will help to talk to your family and friends to be more supportive. Watch for times when you are feeling sabatoged and try to avoid those scenarios.

    I hope that helps. :)

In order to lose weight you need to burn more calories throughout the entire day than you consume. To effectively lose one pound per week, you need to burn 500 more calories than you consume each day for seven days. Each pound of fat equates to 2500 calories. It seems like a lot, but not if you are consistent. It is easier to do if you drastically change your eating habits and go all out healthy. For most this is hard to do, especially from the get go. So try to eat as healthy as you can, and eat smaller portions, and more meals throughout the day. This will increase your metabolism. Exercise as much as you’re able to, this too can’t be started at an expert or experienced level. Work your way to longer exercise bouts. Stay focused and motivated, you will reach your goals.
