I am trying to decide which stomach surgery i should go along with the lap band or the gastric bypass? im a little nervous about the gastric bypass , the reason is i dont want to sedated too many hours.

My husband had his band removed and the gastric bypass done at the same time and it took about 3 hours of actual surgery time. I believe it takes about 2 hours or so which is really not all that much time to be under.
my mother had lap-band. she stayed in the hospital 1 night.
the procedure wasnt long at all. a couple hours maybe,
she used to weight around 300ish.
now shes a good 180 & losing (:
