I reall like to get down to my ideal weight but I feel so hungry like all the time and when I ignore it I just hurt myself because my stomach really roars and gives me stomach pains and cramps. I just want to be at a healthy weight. Could it bbe punishment for getting the surgery even though I was over 300 lbs. I was very healthy slightly with asthma…no I feel more fit and I don’t have to use my inhaler or medication but I fell like my weight just flucates to much.

Well I’m guessing its your eating habits. Many people get the surgery but, still live the same way. Its imperative that you change your diet and exercise regularly. Otherwise you’ll continue to gain weight. Surgery may remove weight initially but, if you don’t do anything to increase your metabolism or use other ways to burn fat then you’re doomed to gain all your weight back and most times even more.
Duh…………. We seem to be over eating.
What kind of bypass did you have? How long has it been since the surgery? Have you spoken to your surgeon yet and had your labs checked. Are you drinking alot of water with meals. Are you drinking soda and eating sugary foods and experiencing dumping syndrome. You have to follow a pretty specific diet plan after bypass surgery. and maybe some of you over eating issues are psychological and a gastric bypass can’t fix that.
its called will power i guess your fat ass aint got non. but there is a miricle cure out there now.its called bulimia it works.
you have a choice. be a fatty or slim down. it is just a choice.
I know you will be hungry. but you need to choose being slim over being hungry. I am sure, even if you eat, you will still feel hungry. so why not choose to be slim and be hungry.
you have to not mind being hungry so that you can be slim.
you have to have the integrity to do the right thing, which is to stop eating so much. you can do it. you are strong. choose for the long term benefit. being slim. do not choose for instant gratification.
What’s the point of having surgery if you still gain weight and have to watch what you eat? You could’ve saved the money and gone on a normal diet, because obviously it didn’t work. If you still have to diet and excersice you risked your health for nothing, smartin’ up, obviously it’s too late for you.
I’m sorry, that must be very frustrating.
Did the doctor who did the surgery give you any dietary guidelines? It’s my understanding that eating recommendations following GB is relatively low-carb. By eating nutrient-dense foods you should be able to feel full longer.
I found this page on eating guidelines for after GB surgery, hope this is helpful for you http://www.renewedreflections.com/gastric-bypass-information/gastric-bypass-pouch-rules/#more-31
