how can my son qualify for a gastric bypass?

My son is 38 years old and weighs 550 lbs. It has been a year now that he is in and out of the hospital with many medical issues due to his weight. Exercise is out he can barely walk he is on oxygen the insurance does not want to cover expenses We need help my son is dying in front of my eyes I need some help for him.

    I assume your son is considered disabled due to his weight, so his weight would be life threatening.

    He needs to talk to a doctor that does these surgeries and they will tell you what he must do in order to get one done. He must comply with whatever they tell him to do.

    He has to be committed to changing his lifestyle. I’m sure he is not happy with the way he is now. I hope he gets the help he needs. As a mother, I know your heart must be breaking for him.

    Only he can help himself. Maybe you are an enabler. You can’t be responsible for someone elses problems no matter how much it bothers you.

    My wife got her bypass paid by the insurance because she saw a specialist who told the insurance that it was a life threatening condition.
