I assume your son is considered disabled due to his weight, so his weight would be life threatening.
He needs to talk to a doctor that does these surgeries and they will tell you what he must do in order to get one done. He must comply with whatever they tell him to do.
He has to be committed to changing his lifestyle. I’m sure he is not happy with the way he is now. I hope he gets the help he needs. As a mother, I know your heart must be breaking for him.
Only he can help himself. Maybe you are an enabler. You can’t be responsible for someone elses problems no matter how much it bothers you.
My wife got her bypass paid by the insurance because she saw a specialist who told the insurance that it was a life threatening condition.
