Grehlin nerve controls appetite and is located in your stomach.?

When you have a gastric sleeve surgery on removal of all or partial stomach, they remove the ghrelin nerve [which controls hunger and appetite] does the ghrelin nerve ever grow back?

  1. Star Gurl says:

There is No thing called the ghrelin nevre.
Ghrelin is a substance produced in many parts of the human body, including the kidney, and the stomach, its basically low before meals and increases after it.
So incase of stomach partial removal, the secretory part of ghrelin is reduced thus less secretion of ghrelin and it would not be increased again if that’s your question.
