my surgeon put me on Optifast… 600 cal a day. its all, besides water, that Im allowed to put in my mouth. Today is day two and Im about to eat my arm off! I only have 12 more pounds to loose and then my surgeon will be satisfied. The 21st is my psych review and then I get my surgery date!
my dr added phentermine with allied..works great for hunger.
Thanks for the encouragement, I’m currently on the Liquid diet, I’m from the UK and I have mamanged to loss 11 lbs in just over a week and was really worried that I wasn’t doing to good, I have to have 4 pints of milk a day along with 1 salty drink and one jelly which is jello for those of you all reading this statesaide, but anyway just wanted to say a BIG thank you for the help!

Hello there. I know what you are talking about on the liquid diet. I did mine for 2 weeks as well. My surgery was on Fb 25th at the Cleveland Clinic. It is a lot more pain than I expected, but I know it will all be worth it.

You know I have to tell you, you look absolutely beautiful in this video!! It really is ashame that you will be joining the skinny people because you girl are a credit to plus size beauty!! Now that being said, I know that its better to be healthy and skinny then to be unhealthy and beautiful!! Way to go on the weight loss…after you go weight before surgery maybe you can pig out on your favorite foods one last time? I hope so! Hugs, Kellie

Hey Shannon….thanks a bunch! You’ll be fine on the liquid diet. The first three days are the hardest, but once you get past that, it just becomes routine.
Nope, no side effects. They did exactly what they were supposed to and no trouble at all. I do think they helped to accelerate the weight loss a bit, and my dietician did OK them. Thanks for your comment!
