Hang in the Taunia!! It will be worth it in the end!!!!
Hey Taunia, I am on my second week of liquids! I am so tired of it already! I’ve done soups (allowed) yogurts, popsicles, cream of wheat (very soupy) and sf puddings. All I do is drink drink drink! I’d give anything for something to crunch besides ice!
Anyway, I wanted to remind you, really stay up on your vitamins and protein! Our systems need them now more than every, when we can’t get the needed supply from our food.
Take Care, Huggz, Jessie
Oh I am so sorry that you have to do the liquids for 2 wks. it really sucks:( Can you have to pudding and the popsicles to help satisfy you between time? And can you do soups? I know its hard but the time will pass quickly and you will be on that loser’s bench so hold on tight girlfriend!! I know you can do it:) Take care! {{Hugs}} Kellie
Hello! I only had to do a liquid diet for two days thankfully. to be honest i only had 2 good foods that i love before my surgery an dit wasnt enough. i had changed my way of eating for about 1 1/2 months prior to surgery to get myself mentally ready for this life change. The liquid diet is a lil hard, after wls you will continue to be on a liquid iet for 2 weeks and it is a lot easier then becasue your not hungary anyways! Good luck with evrything! Find strength in your future o you don’t cheat
Love your videos – You are just great – dont stress that liquid diet will be over before you know it and you will lose the 10+ w/ no problems
Hugs, Melissa
Thanks so much for the well-wishes. I know, it’s right around the corner – yikes! lol The shakes are definitely easier now. Thanks again for your support!
Thanks, T! I appreciate your support. The weight hasn’t come off yet, but I’m hoping for an overnight major success. lol Definitely easier now, so thanks!
Thanks for subscribing! And thanks for the well-wishes. It’s definitely getting easier. I won’t lie, I’d love some pizza, but I can handle it now…whereas I was going a little bonkers before. lol Thanks again!
My life has been centered around food and the FFA! lol I guess this is just a dose of reality for me….I should have expected that I’d struggle with it at first. Thanks for the support, Shannon!
LOL – but WHEN will it be overrrrrrrrrrrrrrr?!?! Just kidding. Thank you for your support!
Thanks, Dena. I appreciate your support!
Ooo – I forgot about broths! The shakes aren’t bad. It’s just that I want solid food, you know? lol Definitely getting easier, though. Thank you for your comments!
The gum trick is definitely working – thanks!
Thanks, C. It is definitely getting easier…just waiting on the weight, of course! No loss yet!
Thank you so much for the feedback. I’m about 5 days out now, and it’s definitely easier. I’m not even all that hungry, but the frustrating thing is that I haven’t really seen any weight loss yet.
But hopefully it’ll all just fall off overnight. lol Thanks again!
When I was supposed to have my surgery last year I was on a liquid diet for a month…The first week was horrid ,but it does get easier. Unfortunately, my surgery fell through ,but I just wanted to give you some encouragement about the diet.
I am having surgery at the end of March or first of April ,but you’ll get to read more in my video diary I’m starting on Wednesday..I hope you’ll take a look
Take care and you can get through this liquid diet phase!
I’m so sorry that you have to wait even longer!
That does suck, but I can’t wait! I’m so excited for you!!! Oh, and the whole liquid diet thing is difficult… before and after surgery! But once you’re done, you’re done!!
-Carissa
You can do it! Gum with a strong mint flavor will help curb the appetite (because so few things taste good with mint). Water, iced tea and more water will also help.
Don’t beat yourself up about it– just move forward. Life is all one big learning experience, and unfortunately, we don’t always get to choose the lessons we want to learn.
Thanks for posting.

I had to do the 2 weeks of liquid before my WLS I had the adj gastric band. (Lap-Band).. The best shakes I had were the Slim-Fast Optima Cappuccino. I tried a lot of them the week before my “final” weigh in. It’s hard but try to keep yourself full with other stuff like Popsicles, Jello, Crystal Light. don’t forget you can also have broths during this time. Just be sure everything you get is either lowfat or fatfree – sounds bad I know but it works.. Good Luck..
You will make it! The waiting is the hardest part. No one knows that like those of us who have had to do it! It’ll be over in no time.
Dena
Been there done that. But when its over you will be fine.
LOL food focused festivities..lol…I have to be on a liquid diet for two weeks prior and 2-3 after it’s totally liquid. No little protein meal as you mentioned. I will probably lose it, lol…
I to have been waiting since August and will probably have surgery the end of April so I totally hear you on the wait. Good things come to those who wait..right? LOL…Keep us posted on your liquid diet. Hugs to you, Shannon
you have a great attitude and I’m sure you’ll be successful. just subscribed to your channel, so I’ll keep watching. best of luck with your surgery!!!! XOXO
Oh my Gosh, Taunia…that weight will peel off you on a liquid diet! You will be fine when you go back. Trust me! And at least you get to have one small protein meal a day…my surgeon requires 2 weeks of liquid protein both before and after surgery! You go girl…and come here and make a whining video whenever you feel like it!
doctors, rules, insurance companies andthe like stink (oh and liquid diets stink). Ok, now I’m going to be positive – you are going to do it and you are going to succeed and you’re going to get your surgery!! YEAH!!! I am so excited for you!!! I wish I was that close!!! The middle of March is SO close!! love ya!!! good luck!
