Thank you for posting all this information and the various things you went through for the surgery.

I’ve recently decided to look into the surgery, but I was so overwhelmed and had no idea where to start my research that wasn’t medical doctor voodoo talk.

Your blogs have been a down to earth friendly place to start and I just can’t thank you enough for posting them.

    Truly an inspiration.

Thank you! I’m so glad that I made these videos and that I’m able to look back and have something physical and tangible to remind where I’ve come, and where I never want to be again! Thank you so much for your support :)

The difference between then and now is amazing. You sound the same, you make the same facial expressions, but it’s like you were inhabiting another body. Congrats on your success.

lol… I can really understand that – even though you are doing this for wls documentation and you want to find the best angle to look thin… you are so funny and real :-)

Diva T, just had to go back and re-watch a vid from where it all began, since you met your goal today! I look a lot like you as you were then (tho you are much prettier!). I have not elected WLS yet but hope to some day. I would have LOVED to do the East Coast meet and greet, but alas, I am stuck here in the midwest. Anyways, congrats again!!! Your personality has always shown through, with or without the weight. It has been an amazing journey!

Thanks so much for your compliment! All I can tell you is that I’m down 145 lbs from gastric bypass and it was the best decision I ever made. Good luck!! :)

Thanks for putting something positive out in the world. Obviously, you were too busy being nasty and mean to see where I’m at now. Why don’t YOU get a life and try doing something nice instead of stewing in your hate?

I wish you the very best with your journey! It is hard to accept that our weight CAN be due to other factors, but I think it’s wonderful that you’re taking your health into your own hands. I’ve lost 65 lbs already, and very very happy with my decision! Good luck!

Wow, LOL We are the same age and your b-day is 1 day after mine! LOL I applied yesterday to be a patient at Duke University wls center. Your videos helped me complete this decision making process. I have been thinking about this for years and I feel as if once I decided it was “time” that I really was ready a long time ago…just unsure of the steps to take, and lacking the courage to begin. After years of being made to believe that my weight is my fault, It is hard to change that mindset.

You are awesome, great blog! I’m also pre-op, and same age as you! I have an appointment with a dietician tomorrow and my PCP next day, to start the process towards my WLS. I loved your video and added myself as a subscriber. Thanks for the info on your experience so far, and keep posting! -Tammy

I bet our surgeries won’t be very far from each other. My nurse told me no later than the end of March, but I bet it will be smack dab at the end of March – so pretty close to yours! My friend Denise (DeniseNJ) is going 2/8, so you can check with her and me for updates before you go in. In any case, congrats and good luck!
