the question that bothers me is what is it like getting out of the surgery? I wanna get it done but I have ho “what if’s” stuck in my head. can anyone tell me what I’m in for if I’ll be waking up in pain. What? Any information will help alot
Good for you!!!! That is so awesome..I am waiting for my surgery date…hope to have surgery this month . I have learned so much from your videos . THANK YOU SOMUCH
Thanks for the words of encouragement, Becky. I know I can do this, it’s just sooo hard to change the habit of a lifetime overnight. But, it’ll be worth it in the long run, I’m sure. x x x
Hang in there, it will get easier, you CAN do this! Becky
Hey Lyzette,
Thanks for getting in touch. Pre-op’s not been great so far. I guess I’m more concerned about the fact that my liver might be too big before the op, rather than what I’ve eaten, but I’m sure I’ll sort it out in the next few days. I want to adhere to the guidelines as best as I can, because it’s a recommendation before surgery.

Congrats on your preop. remember, it is important to get that protein in and not good to skip. Don’t worry it will get easier. Don’t beat yourself up, sweety.
hunny don’t stress about the choc….the pre op diet is not easy….but if u count up what you have had for teh day, you havent even had half of teh calories u would normally off. Those chocs are a nightmare for me at work…there everywhere….they just scream eat meeeee!! lol its so easy2 eat lots of them! With head hunger, drinking really helps..because at times when i think im hungry im not. Just take the pre op diet each day at a time, you can do this girl! Not long to go now! xx
Just wanted to add that its not just hunger and food related ‘problems’ you may face. Think about the mental things too…like self image and how being slim can affect you such as when shopping (can get overwhelming) and other peoples approach to you. I know it sounds a bit stupid but I had a friend who advised me of this and now I am starting to feel the effects of slimming and am starting to have difficulties ‘being me’ but a slimmer version, does that make sense? Anyway sweetie good luck xx
Dont beat yourself up! The fisrt day is hard. Good Luck for the future!!
