essay help please??????

is this any good? any mistakes that you see anything you would change or add to make it better?

Diet and exercise or surgery? That is the question for thousands of overweight Americans. In this essay I will compare diet and exercise with two kinds of surgery, liposuction and gastric bypass.
Diet and exercise is cheaper than having surgery. When you eat healthier you can cut out expensive junk food and high calorie drinks from your shopping list. Having surgery will cost you thousands while a gym membership will cost you thirty dollars a month.
Diet and exercise have no risks. Eating healthy and working out wont bust open

your stomach, but surgery could. Gastric bypass could lead to nasty infections, and ulcers.

Liposuction could leave you with disfiguring scars. While diet and exercise will lead to

more energy during the day and restful nights.

For people who want results fast surgery would be best. Diet and exercise is slow compared to liposuction. Liposuction will literally suck that fat right out of you! Also with liposuction you can target one area like the stomach, hips, thighs, and even your face. With diet and exercise you can’t just do abdominal exercises and get a flat stomach.
People who have gastric bypass surgery have a bigger chance of keeping the weight off. In gastric bypass surgery the surgeon creates a smaller stomach pouch. Having a smaller stomach makes you feel fuller sooner and eat less food. 98% of people who have gastric bypass surgery keep the weight off compared to only 50% of people who loose it by diet and exercise.

Diet and exercise, or surgery? That is the question thousands of overweight Americans are asking themselves.

In this essay I will compare diet and exercise with two kinds of surgery; liposuction and gastric bypass.

Firstly, lets examine financial cost. Diet and exercise is the cheaper option as when you eat healthier you can cut out expensive junk food and high calorie drinks from your shopping list. Healthier foods like fresh fruit and vegetables work out much cheaper on the whole, than convenience or processed foods. Having surgery however, will cost you thousands while a gym membership will cost you around thirty dollars a month. Therefore it would be best financially, to reduce the cost of your food bill by cutting out expensive unhealthy food and paying for a gym membership with your savings, than costly surgery.

Secondly, lets look at the risks involved with each of these weight losing options.
Diet and exercise if followed sensibly have little to no risks.
Surgery however, comes with obvious risks; infections, ulcers and other complictions.
Liposuction could leave you with disfiguring scars. While diet and exercise will lead to more energy during the day and restful nights.

For people who want results fast, surgery would be best.

(I have changed some of your essay, filled it out a bit, but really I think the whole thing is a bit short.
You need to research a bit more about the risks and pro’s and cons, rather than making sweeping generalisations. You barely touch the surface on a lot of key issues and i think if you dig a bit deeper you will come up with some more interesting conclusions.
Make sure you brainstorm and write an essay plan when you attempt an essay like this, when I read thru what you’d written it sounded like you’d just typed it all out as you thought of it.)

Add in some cost figures for your comparison. You should note that any diet and exercise has risks, thus the usual warning that you should consult your doctor.

Your intro paragraph was good–flesh it out a little more.

You were smart to separate the sections on liposuction and gastric bypass, and you should do the same regarding diet and exercise. The two are similar but not the same. Read up on liposuction–it really can’t take that much weight off, but rather it is used for cosmetic purposes, and it is gruesome to watch. Describe it, just like you did the exercises.

List some sources. Men’s Health has a Belly Off program and daily tips on diet and exercise.

Note how fad diets may take weight off fast but it usually returns. Note some celebrities, like Ann Wilson of Heart and her ongoing fight with her weight, or Kirstie Alley. Any paper is good when you cite examples.

You’ve got a good start. Keep going.

I am not going to highlight spelling mistakes in this……..but I think u can add brief information on the types of diets that people follow. Another thing you can add is- the psychological aspect of fattiness. Some people have a habit of eating (even when they are not hungry) when they are tensed or angry or thinking about some problem or when they have nothing to do or when they are watching television. Eating while watching television can have 2 consequences 1- you eat less or 2- You over eat. This should be avoided.
You can also add the different forms of exercises like Yoga, aerobics, etc. Do a little more research and you will get more material to add.

Liposuction is not a weight loss thing. It just removes fat when no amount of diet or exercise can do it. A person can be thin and still get liposuction when they have a pocket of fat that just does not go away. They can exercise and eat next to nothing and it still stays the same. This is why people get liposuction done, not to actually lose weight like a gastric bypass does.
