This 40 yr male had upper abdominal pain for 3 months. A video-endoscopic examination of esophagus, stomach and duodenum was performed. A large 2.5×2.5 cm chronic ulcer was detected in the first part (bulb) of duodenum. A gastric biopsy was taken for diagnosis of Helicobacter infection and a rapid urease test done which was positive. U lose a lot of blood initially, … like a massive wound inside, you need to get blood transfusion (a bit risky)
you do not need to take this test. you can get a urea test( u blow into a ballon and they test your bacteria from stomach) and then if ur positive u get given 4 tablets to take 1c in morning 1c at night. and also 2 hours after night dose a tablet to heal back the dead good bacteria.. its simple not painfull and works a charme.

It doesnt hurt per say, the proceeure causes discomfort in the throat, I have pancreatitis and therefore vomit alot, so my problem was gagging! Which I did thru the whole proceedure, gag and wretch(my stomach was empty apart from a little bile due to a small fasting period before, the bile was removed by suction) and you do get a strong numbing chemical and the offer of a sedative. So more uncomfortable than painful!

I just came back from my endoscopy! They detected this thing, I am waiting for bacteria analysis results.
Yuk! I’ve had this for a long time without knowing it. The symptoms appeared here and there but I thought it was part of my hyperthyroidism. I’m on 3 dif meds and take 8 a day. Almost done. glad to rid of this.

it would be better to take the medication for at least 2 weeks to make sure the bacterias are dead otherwise they become a “superbug”.
You can get it again if you eat raw or medium rare steak or sushi/sashimi or anything that are not cooked properly. Thats why it is important for you to watch what you eat after treatment.

I hav dis Bacteria N dey did endoscopy they giv me medication the first time suprly kill it but then 7 months later the bacteria came backk this is horrible n now i am taking the treatment again ppl dont eat food from burger king or mc donalds or from the streets dis is the results god bless everyone pz1
I’m in the club. I was 16 when I got the pains and would wake up in the middle of the night. I didn’t got to the doctor about it until it got worse 2 years later. I always thought it was a middle age disease too.

I got this bacteries, the doctor detected 2 days ago, i have 2 month with stomac pain and tomorow is my Endoscopic, hope be fine and remove the H Pylori, by the way, im very rare in this situation cause im only 17 years old and that supose to happen to ppl from 50s :S
