   There is no standard pre-op diet,
   Instructions vary from surgeon to surgeon and you would be given your own surgeon’s instructions.
   Some bariatric surgeons advocate a fully liquid protein diet for two weeks before surgery, all advise cutting down on fatty and sugary foods, carbohydrates generally, certain analgesic meds, smoking, alcohol.

   usually you aren’t supposed to have anything before any operation. Didn’t the doctor tell you this?

   Your not supposed to eat anything before a gastric bypass op.
