Do most insurance companies cover the costs of cosmetic surgery?

If you have gastric bypass surgery such as the Lap Band, and you lose the weight, and left with loose skin do some insurance companies cover the costs to have the loose skin removed (I’m thinking it’s called liposuction)

    No — insurance usually does not cover elective surgeries like things done for cosmetic reasons.

    No they do not. You will be lucky to get them to pay for the Lap Band.
