I'm ok with chicken and eggs. Each person is different post-op, strangely enough. You'd think the surgery would affect us all the same!

That rocks! am jealous. I am putting up a video on my black beans and my chili soon. The black beans taste awesome with a fried egg in them. I wish I could have them that way, may try to see if I can keep it down with the beans. Beans are so soothing in my pouch, they never make me sick

Chicken is probably the easiest meat for me to eat. I am so thankful because I love chicken!!!! I just made the best homemade chicken salad. I had heard that it could be a problem and was so worried but I don't have a problem with it.

Yeah, beans are great! I've shyed away from them because that's all I ate in the pureed form 2 weeks out and I got so tired of them! But your beans look awesome! I hope you can eat it with an egg in it. PS Moxy is so cute!

i too can do chicken, but not pork.

my surgeon lets us eat chicken, but at 6 months out since it's stringy and our tummies can't handle it yet.

Good advice, thanks for sharing your experience with chicken. I am pre-op and of course chicken has always been the "good" meat, low fat/high protein. I'm really trying to get all the info I can before surgery, bad as well as good, and it's great to have some forewarning about things that might not be so tummy-friendly.

And Amelia, your videos are so great. You are a real sweetheart.

Newly post-ops sometimes have issues with chicken but further out you'll be fine :) I had a bit of a hard time with it getting stuck at first but by 6-7 weeks post-op I was having NO problems with it. :)
