    Ulcers are caused by bacteria.

Your doctor should have given you antibiotics for it. It will then clear up in a week.

Your heart is NOT on the right side, not even the right side of the heart. Anything wrong with the heart would not get worse from eating or drinking.

You do not say where in your back the "back pain" is. Gallbladder trouble can sometimes hurt in the back, but if you had that you’d be being VERY specific about what part of the back, because there is no missing it. Overeating can hurt a gallbladder, but carbonated drinks usually will not effect it at all.

Try to not overeat, keep away from fizzy drinks, and see if taking antacid tablets after heavier meals improves the situation.

    could be panic attack
could be a hernia, pressing into the lungs

If it worries you ask your doc for an EKG and/or stress test to rule out any heart issues. At least you would know for sure then and put your mind at ease.

it could be a sinoatrial failure you could ask your doctor about that matter. An EKG will be a great help a quick stabbing pain is the s/s of right heart failure(atria/ventricles) . or rather you are just in love..hahaha

Hmm, I would take an aspirin every morning if I were you — maybe the enteric, coated kind so that it doesn’t aggravate your ulcer. I’m not thinking it’s heart failure though. I’m thinking you get gas pockets that get lodged in that area – almost like a baby gets colicky. Especially since you describe this feeling is more pronounced when you drink carbonated beverages. Check out the other dietary things that you could change to ease up the possibility of gas forming. Are you taking medication for the ulcer? If so, the medication could be a culprit — check out it’s side effects and have the medication changed if that can be one.

Internet diagnoses are totally useless, unless you’re just a hypochondriac seeking attention and/or pity.

Visit a doctor if you have an health problem.

I have to agree with the referred pain. That and hyper- vigilance makes you note any of the normal minor heart palpitations as something much bigger than they are.
Have your doctor order an echo treadmill.

You on any meds. Could be a side affect.

Definitely check out your gallbladder sounds similar to what a friend of mine had. Could be be stones, thickening of the gallbladder’s wall or extra fluid causing some of the symptoms.

Please do not ignore these signs and symptoms that you are feeling. Anything is possible – referred pain, esophagitis – inflammation of the esophagus due to hyperacidity, angina pectoris due to a narrowed coronary artery, muscle pain, lung tumor – anything. The best person to diagnose you is a physician who need to do several tests and imaging procedures to actually pinpoint the root of your condition. Please consult one as soon as possible.

All of these answers, even the irreverent ones, contain an element of truth. Ignore some of the thumbs down. Also, you may recall that cardiac disease in women is often under appreciated and under diagnosed. Have you had a stress test, perhaps with an echocardiogram or a nuclear scan? Your internist or a cardiologist would be better able to advise you about this. Gall stones and gall bladder disease can cause right sided pain radiating to the shoulder blade. Hiatal hernias are often associated with acid reflux that can cause some of the symptoms you complain about. Pancreatic disease is another possibility.

You need to have a talk and an exam with your doctor. We can only give guesses here.
