hey, ive had a gastric band and ive only had my two fills, if im being honest i think im the same as you when you said that you diddnt feel any real difference, ive now got 6.5 mills in my band and i really cant eat big portions, i get a lot of indigestion is that the same with u? also alcohol affects me more now than it ever did.
How much do you think you have paid out in aftercare so far. I know the op is cheaper but what about the extra costs. Please answer me as I can’t make up my mind about having it done abroad or here in the UK. I don’t like traveling either. Lol
congratualtions on your weight loss journey, i have one negative comment why oooo why would you put yourself through weightloss surgery and pay out a lot of money for it when you still find it in yourself to go to places like KFC and eat pizza and chips i mean you had the band it requires a LIFE CHANGE!!! im sure you would have lost more than what you have if you would have not still be eating junk food !! sorry no offense but it seems ludacris.

I have just been referred by my gp 4 days ago for this procedure, so I have a long way to go yet before I actually get accepted by MR Super at my local hospital

I think I was perhaps starting to lose hope too. I kept on thinking that I was going to be the one that the band didn’t work for, or that they should have put a 14cc band in me, instead of a 10cc, but thankfully things are starting to work as they should. I am sooo glad to finally be having a different relationship with food. x x x
I just got to 7 cc’s in my 10 cc band. Just like you I am starting to get real restriction. Everything you said is everything I have gone through. And french fries are hard to get down. I am so happy to finally be eating less. I was starting to lose some hope.
Thanks so much!! It is really odd how we all differ. At 4.5, I couldn’t even tell I had a band really. Other than food hurting a bit when I ate it, I could still eat enormous portions of virtually anything and everything!! I am well and truly past that now, which I am sooo happy about!! x x
You’re sooo right that .05ml can make all the difference, it’s just that at 6 mils I could still eat the world and at 7 mils, I could barely drink for the first week!! At least I definitely know what it feels like to have hit my sweetspot now!! I just hope these other pounds start melting away. I’d like to lose another stone by August for my music festival!! That’s my mini goal.

French fries are a def NO NO NO for me! you would of thought the first time i tried fries and was so sick i would of learnt…but ohhh no..i though i would try it again last week…and my goodness i paid for it!!! 1ml even .05 ml can make all the difference! xx
